KiloVault designed a new energy system for off-grid living — the Uniti EcoFreedom — which features an all-in-one, pre-wired design. The Uniti EcoFreedom is divided into sections to make it easier to move and can allow for a single-person assembly and installation, according to KiloVault, without the need for specialized tools or equipment.

“One of the biggest challenges off-grid homeowners face is finding a safe, reliable energy source that doesn’t require hiring multiple professionals and hours – and more likely days – of setup time,” said Sascha Deri, CEO of KiloVault.

The Uniti EcoFreedom is complemented by an integrated solar charge controller, ensuring efficient and effective battery charging while optimizing round-trip energy efficiency. Its included inverter allows for high-power discharge rates. Its integrated breakers save the expense of wiring an additional breaker box, enabling the homeowner the option to run their electric circuits directly into the Uniti.

The EcoFreedom is available with multiple battery options

  • EcoFreedom Lite comes with four 12.8v 180Ah Advanced Lead Acid Batteries for 8.64 kWh of rated energy and 4.32 kWh of usable energy.
  • EcoFreedom 5 comes with eight 12.8v 100Ah Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) batteries for 10.2kWh of rated energy and 9.6 kWh of usable energy.
  • EcoFreedom 10 comes with four 51.2v 100Ah lithium battery packs for 20.48kWh of rated energy and 18.4 kWh of usable energy. Can be simply expanded to 30.7kWh rated and 27.6 kWh of usable energy with additional battery packs.

The Uniti EcoFreedom is assembled and tested in the United States.
